Sanj Talks is an impressive podcast and media company producing an array of content about the local community. Alan Hu Foundation was recently the focus of a feature story that highlighted the journey, contributions, and impact of Alan Hu Foundation. Xiaofang Chen,Alan Hu Foundation Co-Founder and President, Mark Rahman, AHF Treasurer, and Sylvia Tat AHF supporter, attended Sanj Talks Leadership & Community Impact event on June 28. Xioafang shared the the story of the journey, the work, and lessons learned, along with a message of inspiration for the audience. Sanj Narang, Founder of Sanj Talks, presented Xiaofang Chen with a framed commemorative copy of the Alan Hu Foundation feature story, “Turning Loss Into Hope: How the Alan Hu Foundation Is Inspiring Conversations About Mental Health.” Sanj Talks has a YouTube channel with over 1M subscribers. Sanj Narang has recently become a board member of Three Valleys Community Foundation.

Alan Hu Foundation Joins TVNPA in Livermore Rodeo Parade
Raising Mental Health Awareness
Alan Hu Foundation joined TVNPA’s nonprofit community contingent in the 2026 Livermore Rodeo Parade on Saturday, June 13. The parade has been a beloved Livermore tradition since 1918 and typically draws around 15,000 attendees. Our participation proved to be a fun and visible way to celebrate the incredible work nonprofits are doing throughout the Tri-Valley. It was an excellent way to show the community just how many organizations are doing great work every day to strengthen, support, and care for our region.

Wear Orange Event Advocates for an End to Gun Violence
Alan Hu Foundation Networks with the Community and Participating Organizations
Alan Hu Foundation connected with the community at the Wear Orange event on Saturday, June 6 at Lions Wayside Park in Pleasanton. Wear Orange is dedicated to honoring the lives of people in the United States affected by gun violence and elevating the voices of advocates across the country who are demanding an end to gun violence by taking action. The Wear Orange event was hosted by Everytown for Gun Safety, The Livermore Valley chapter of Moms Demand Action, Students Demand Action, Keep Hope Alive Collaborative, and Youth Alive! June is marked as Gun Violence Awareness Month. This community gathering is hosted each year to honor victims and survivors as we work together to end gun violence. Alan Hu Foundation Co-Founder and President, Xiaofang Chen and an Alan Hu Foundation volunteer shared mental health information, listened to inspirational speakers, and connected with community partners

Senator McNerney Brings Resources to Dublin with Debut of New District Office
Alan Hu Foundation Attends Ribbon Cutting
The Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting of the Dublin District Office was held on April 16. Xiaofang Chen, Co-founder and President of Alan Hu Foundation, attended this event, which included a meet and greet with Senator Jerry McNerney and his team and an opportunity to connect with fellow community members while learning about constituent services and resources. The invitation read, “We are excited to open this new space and strengthen our ability to serve the community. This office will provide a welcoming place for constituents to access services, share their concerns, and connect with our team. We would love for you to stop by, meet our district staff, and see the new office firsthand.”

Las Positas College Run for Higher Education & Tri-Valley Nonprofit Alliance 5K Run
Thank you to everyone who joined Team Alan Hu Foundation to support higher Education & Tri-Valley Nonprofits on April 25. The event included a 5K fun run with awards, information booths from participating teams, and beautiful performances by the Strand Symphony at the close of the awards ceremony to enhance the festivities. It was a fun and meaningful event.
